Eight girls from our grammar school have embarked on an exciting academic challenge: they are preparing to take part in a debating competition held in the Townhall of Duesseldorf in June and organized by THe English Library Duesseldorf. Each of them brings her own strengths - sharp reasoning, eloquent speaking, and a flair for teamwork - making them a promising team.

To hone their skills, accompanied by Ms. Bress or Mrs. Ortmayr, they attend a special preparation course in Duesseldorf once a month, where they learn advanced techniques in argumentation, public speaking, and critical thinking. Alongside this, they also take part in fortnightly BBB lessons run by Ms. Bress and Mrs. Ortmayr, which provide regular practice and allow them to refine their strategies under the guidance of their teachers.

This combination of structured monthly training and consistent school-based lessons ensures that the girls are steadily building confidence and competence. Their journey is not only about competing but also about developing lifelong skills in communication, collaboration, and persuasion. Fingers crossed!
