English Theatre Workshop

E Theatre 1 - 1

2. Nov. 2025

On 31st October, 8c had the exciting opportunity to participate in an English Theatre Workshop led by Sophie and arranged by English Theatre Düsseldorf. The workshop was a dynamic and engaging experience that combined language learning with creativity, performance, and teamwork.

Throughout the day, we explored a wide range of drama games and improvisation exercises that encouraged us to think on our feet, express ourselves confidently, and — most importantly — use English in fun and meaningful ways. Some of the highlights included:

  • Warm-up games that got everyone moving and laughing
  • Improvisation challenges where we created spontaneous scenes in English
  • Group performances that tested our collaboration and storytelling skills
  • Character-building exercises that helped us explore emotions and body language

One of the best parts of the workshop was how naturally we used English. Instead of focusing on grammar or vocabulary lists, we applied our language skills in real-time, through dialogue, movement, and interaction. It was a refreshing change from the classroom and helped many of us feel more confident speaking English aloud.

Led with great energy and enthusiasm by Sophie, the workshop was not only educational but also incredibly fun. It brought our class closer together, sparked creativity, and reminded us that learning a language can be playful and expressive. Whether we were pretending to be pirates, inventing silly characters, or reacting to surprise scenarios, we were constantly learning—without even realizing it.

We’re grateful to English Theatre Düsseldorf for organizing such a memorable event. It was a truly worthwhile experience that left us inspired and eager for more!
