We are proud to announce that a group of our Grade 10 students (Anna, Clara, Katharina 10b) has won the NRW Bilingual Video Competition 2026 with their outstanding film "Golden Twenties." The statewide competition invites students from bilingual classes across North Rhine-Westphalia to create short educational videos that explain curriculum-related topics in both German and a foreign language.

Our students chose to explore the fascinating period of the Golden Twenties, presenting the historical developments, cultural achievements and social changes of the 1920s in a creative, informative and engaging way. Their film combined accurate historical knowledge with excellent English language skills, imaginative storytelling and impressive digital media production.

The jury praised the film for its high academic quality, clear bilingual presentation and creative visual design. The students received first prize during the official award ceremony in Düsseldorf, where the best bilingual explanatory films from across North Rhine-Westphalia were honoured.

Winning this prestigious competition is a remarkable achievement and reflects the students' dedication, teamwork and enthusiasm. Their success also highlights the high standard of bilingual education at our school and demonstrates how subject knowledge, language learning and digital creativity can be successfully combined.
