US History Lecture

On February 17th, 2025, a representative of Amerikahaus Cologne NRW, Lauren Gradzewicz (from Buffalo, State of New York) gave a lecture about US history to the bilingual students in grade 9. We were able to share our knowledge and ask questions, too. In the lecture we learned about the US-American perspective on immigration, the American Revolution and the fight for equality and minority groups.
Finally we also got to know about the current immigration policy in the US and how President Trump wants to deport migrants and questions the rights of Dreamers and people born on US American soil getting American citizenship.
Overall this lecture was very educational and it helped us to better understand the current situation in the US from an American perspective.
